Your celebrant for life's moments

Welcome to JOY WALTON CELEBRANT.

Discover the heart behind the ceremonies – my passion for connection, storytelling, and creating truly unforgettable moments for you and your loved ones in Skipton and beyond.

Connecting with your story

I believe the most meaningful ceremonies come from real connection. People tell me they feel at ease with me quickly; I feel warm, open, and genuinely interested in people's lives and their stories. It's a unique position to be in, listening to everyone's stories and the families they hold dear. Those conversations are the heart of the ceremonies I create.

I bring a deep sense of respect for the importance of these occasions. Whether it's a joyful wedding, a naming ceremony welcoming new life, or a celebration of life honouring someone who has passed, I understand that these moments deserve care, sensitivity, and authenticity. Every ceremony I write begins with listening – because every story deserves to be told in a way that feels and is true. Above all, I feel privileged to stand alongside people during the most important moments.

Crafting your unique ceremony

For me, every ceremony begins with listening. Whether I'm planning a wedding, a baby naming ceremony, or a celebration of life, I start by spending time getting to know the people involved. I want to understand their story, their personalities, the relationships that matter most to them, and what they hope the ceremony will feel like. No two families are the same, so no two ceremonies should ever feel the same.

My passion for celebrating life

What I enjoy most about being a celebrant is the privilege of being part of some of the most important moments in people's lives. Whether it's the joy of a wedding, the welcome of a new baby, or honouring the life of someone that has passed, these are moments when families come together, reflect on their stories, and truly celebrate what truly matters.

I love getting to know people – how couples met, the little quirks that make relationships special, the memories families share, and the stories that might otherwise never be told. Those conversations are what bring a ceremony to life. I hope to leave families with ceremonies that feel authentic, meaningful, and a true reflection of their unique journey, creating memories they will cherish forever.
